I LOVE TO TELL THE STORY is the 4th CD by Greg Rice. It is a collection of favorite hymns that have blessed the church for many years.
The CD is manufactured to resemble a vinyl record album and even begins with the sound of an old scratchy, vinyl record. The project is lovingly dedicated to Greg's grandfather, Dewey W. Crabb, who was an inspiration, not only to his family but to all who were blessed to have known him.

HIGHER GROUND is the 10th track on I LOVE TO TELL THE STORY. Based on an arrangement in the early 1980s by Jerry Nelson, Greg first rearranged the song for Mack Evans, soloist on the Old Time Gospel Hour with Jerry Falwell and the Sounds of Liberty.
lyrics
My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where those abound,
My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.
I want to scale the utmost height
And catch a gleam of glory bright;
But still I’ll pray till heav’n I’ve found,
“Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”
Refrain:
Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
By faith, on Heaven’s tableland,
A higher plane than I have found;
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.
I’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining every day;
Still praying as I’m onward bound,
“Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”
Refrain:
Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
By faith, on Heaven’s tableland,
A higher plane than I have found;
Lord, lift me up,
O, lead me on,
This road still leads to Higher Ground!
